21 – RIA Tomsk. The authorities of the Tomsk region offered to use the
experience of the PRC for gardening, including cities, and hold training events
for landscape designers with the help of Chinese experts, the deputy governor
on agro-industrial policy and nature management Andrey Knorr told journalists
on Wednesday.

"In
China, there are very good traditions, although they have their own eastern
shade. They have all the cities literally bathed in green ... For the last 5-10
years they have been planting trees and shrubs in the cities. And even if the
enterprise has 5 to 5 square meters of empty, they plant green . <...>
Perhaps, Tomsk specialists in landscape design can be sent there for a
practical training or we can invite Chinese here to read lectures", –
Knorr said.
He
specified that it is not only about landscape design in the cities, but also
about the improvement of enterprises, estates and so on.
The deputy
governor also noted the experience of the People's Republic of China in working
with nurseries, where, in particular, trees adapted to life in the city are
bred. Currently, the Tomsk authorities are considering the possibility of
buying American pine in China and are now assessing whether it will take root
in Siberia.
