Representatives of the ABB company – the world leader in deliveries of
processing equipment – consider the possibility of opening of the engineering
center in the Tomsk region, the press service of the regional administration
reports on Tuesday.
It is specified that representatives
of the ABB company visited the Tomsk region – the head of global division of
automation processes Gustav Greyling, the head of the global operational center
Anders Kornblad and the vice-president Mikhail Akim. They visited TSU, TPU,
TUSUR, Tomsk special economic zone and met the deputy governor on economy
Andrey Antonov.
"As the representatives of ABB
reported, the company intends to open engineering center in Russia and
considers the possibility to locate it in the Tomsk region, considering
creation in the region of the innovative cluster concentrating the advanced
productions, qualitative human resources and new technological basis", –
it is said in the statement.
Also it is reported that Antonov
told the management of ABB during the meeting that the region is interested in
that "such large companies open research, design, and perhaps, production
divisions here". According to him, the leaders of the region create
necessary conditions for this purpose.
"Besides, expert assessment of
resources is important – educational, personnel, infrastructure, – which we can
receive during consideration and preparation of such projects", – the
press service quotes Antonov.

ABB company is the leading supplier of the power equipment and technologies for
power industry and automation of production. The ABB group makes business in
