TOMSK, Aug 10 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) is the first in Siberia, which launched 16 online courses on the federal Internet platform "Open Education"; training starts in September, and results of passing of the courses can be accepted by any university of Russia, the press service of TSU reports on Thursday.

It is specified that TSU and the National platform "Open Education" signed the partner contract in April, 2017 according to which the university will post the online courses on the website. If it will be passed successfully, the discipline corresponding to the curriculum of area of training can be accepted by any university of Russia.

"TSU is the first university of Siberia which placed 16 online courses (MOOC) on Russian, psychology, social robotics, ecology, programming and other subjects on the national platform "Open Education". It is possible to be registered already today; training will begin on September 18. All courses, exposed on the platform, are free", – it is said in the statement.

It is noted that online course placed on the platform has to conform to requirements, imposed by "Open Education", and federal educational standards of areas of training, according to which it is implemented.

"Placement of TSU courses on the platform "Open Education" allows us to compete in the market of domestic online training with other universities and to increase audience of listeners. Training has to continue not less than 10 weeks that's why our many online courses were finished by authors and increased in volume", – the manager of the TSU educational online projects Olesya Babanskaya is quoted.

It is added that today 36 online courses are created in TSU, they are placed on six platforms of Coursera, Lektorium, PushkinOnline, Stepik, Open Education and iversity.
