of Chemical Enterprises (SGChE, included into fuel company of Rosatom TVEL)
plans to carry out all commissioning and test of the equipment on production of
titanium dioxide in the first quarter 2018 that to come to industrial volumes
by 2019-2010, General Director of SGChE Sergey Tochilin told journalists on
Tuesday.
Earlier it was
reported that SGChE plans to start production of titanium dioxide. The new
enterprise "Siberian Titanium" was created for its start. SGChE and
Moscow Loco-bank act as cofounders of the project. Large-scale production was
planned to start in 2019. The project assumes 780 million rubles of
investments, including 130 million – on creation of trial production in 2017.
"Almost all
working documentation necessary for manufacture of the experimental equipment
is developed, competitive procedures are carried that this year to make all set
of the necessary equipment. Then to install, to carry out commissioning and
working tests of the experimental technology in the first quarter (2018)",
– Tochilin told at the press conference in the media center of RIA Tomsk.
He said that it
is planned to realize this project, to fulfill all necessary nuances at SGChE
with a big share of confidence.
"And we
will create a normal plant on production of titanium dioxide with 20 thousand
tons per year on raw materials and about 10 thousand tons per year on a
ready-made product during 2019-2020", – the General Director told.
Titanium dioxide
is a basis of white paint and various dyes, including food. Its production on
SGChE will be based on the effective fluoride technology developed at Tomsk
Polytechnic University. Titanium dioxide isn't manufactured in Russia today.
