TOMSK, Sep 5 – RIA Tomsk. Gazprom joint-stock company will
allocate an additional 500 million rubles in 2017 for the reconstruction of
Lenin Avenue and the Ushayka Embankment in Tomsk, said on Tuesday the Gazprom
Chairman of the Board Alexey Miller, who is in Tomsk on a visit.
Earlier it was reported that the reconstruction of the Ushayka Embankment is a
part of the "Tomsk Embankments" project, implemented by the
administration of the Tomsk region with the support of Gazprom. Works on the
site began in late 2014, the contractor company – "SPb-Granit". On
the embankment it is planned to create a recreational zone, platform for
cultural events and sports park.
"Today it was decided that Gazprom will allocate another 500 million
rubles to the reconstruction of Lenin and the Ushayka Embankment in 2017. Lenin
Avenue ... should be reconstructed according to the highest standards", – Miller said.
According to Miller, who on Tuesday made a walk on Lenin Avenue, the quality of
the performed work done on the pedestrian part of the street – is of a high
level. He also noted the design decisions. "Material which we put – is
granite, this is for ages", – he said.

Miller was pleased with the pace of work of the Ushayka Embankment. According
to him, until 2019, it is necessary to complete the first and second stages of
the reconstruction of the embankment, the work goes according to the plan. This
was also confirmed by the head of the region Sergei Zhvachkin.
"Many Tomsk citizens are dissatisfied with the fact that there are fences
on the embankment. But I ask you to wait, everything is going according to the
plan, and there are no failures. To date, the planned volumes on arrangement
(for 2017 – Ed.) are 70% completed. And those funds which were allocated by
Gazprom will allow to strictly carry out the existing schedule", – Zhvachkin
emphasized.
