TOMSK, Oct 11 – RIA Tomsk. The vast majority (95%) of the
interviewed citizens considers that it is possible to get quality, modern
education in Tomsk, follows from the materials published on the website of
Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
It is explained that the research of
condition of the cultural and educational environment in the large and average
cities of Russia is conducted by Financial University under the Government of
the Russian Federation. The analysis is made on the basis of these sociological
polls in 38 cities, in each of which not less than 600 respondents on the
selection which is representatively reflecting the population of the city were
interviewed.
"Today 80% of residents of the
large and average cities completely or generally agree that they can get
quality and modern education at the place of residence. <…> The greatest
share of the residents who are highly appreciating availability of quality
education is noted in Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk and
Voronezh", – it is said in research materials.

It follows from the poll 95% of the
interviewed residents "generally or completely agree" that it is
possible to get a good, modern education in Tomsk. Similar results are recorded
in Novosibirsk and Vladivostok.
"Demand for preschool institutions
remains to the highest – while it nevertheless tends to decrease. Sports
sections, professional schools.., and also centers of postgraduate preparation
are still very demanded. In recent years we see increase in demand for
comprehensive schools and gymnasiums, specialized schools (musical, art,
etc.), military, humanities, medical and economic colleges", – it is
noted in the research.
Also it follows from data of the
poll that 74% of the Tomsk respondents completely or generally agree that there
are enough cultural institutions in the regional center, among which theaters,
cinemas, galleries and libraries. Residents of St. Petersburg (94%), Kazan
(93%) and Grozny (92%) are most of all happy with the cultural environment. An
average value across Russia is 83%.
