TOMSK, Oct 12 – RIA Tomsk. Dutch scientists participate in
academic forum which take place in Tomsk in November, the ambassador of the
Netherlands in Russia Renee Jones-Bos told on Thursday. Deputy governor Evgeny
Parshuto added, within the visit of the Dutch delegation possibilities of use
of modern Netherlands developments by the Tomsk builders were also discussed.
The delegation of the Kingdom of the
Netherlands led by the ambassador madam of Renee Jones-Bos works in Tomsk on
October 11-12. As a part of the delegation representatives of the Ministry of
Economics of the Netherlands, business (including the Philips company),
architectural bureau LEVS and Nuffic Neso – the organization specializing in
the international cooperation in the higher education.
"Smart city" and medical
technologies

"We are aimed at expansion of
the academic cooperation. The academic forum (III Forum of the academic
fundraising "Patronage: from origins to formation of traditions of the
present" – Ed.) will take place in November (in Tomsk), and the Dutch universities
will participate in it", – madam ambassador told at the press conference
in the RIA Tomsk media center.
She added that members of the
delegation are also interested in the Smart city project. "We are aimed at
interaction with Tomsk in the sphere of transport, street lighting and medical
technologies", – Jones-Bos noted.
According to Jones-Bos, a great
impression on members of the delegation was made by a meeting within the Live
Laboratory project during which local architects, designers, builders and
experts in the sphere of IT discussed the project of construction of the
integrated campus of TSU, TPU, TUSUR and SSMU.
"Six full-fledged teams were
created... – specialists in creation of the "smart" habitat of
citizens. I don't want to speak about intermediate results, this laboratory
will constantly work. We considered (project) of the integrated campus of four
universities, transit between them and formation in its (campus) framework of
absolutely new habitat", – Parshuto explained to journalists.
Tomsk builders and Philips
The deputy governor also told that
the meeting of representatives of Philips with specialists of the TDSK company
took place on Thursday at which possibilities of use of modern Netherlands
developments at introduction of industrial methods in construction of housing
of the new generation focused on needs of each future resident were discussed.
"We will be able to see
concrete result soon... And residents of Tomsk will have an opportunity to use
really beautiful and comfortable urban environment... I am sure that today's
meeting will develop into the concrete agreement", – Parshuto considers.
He added that members of the Dutch
delegation also met the Tomsk agricultural producers and representatives of a
pharmaceutical cluster. Whether these meetings will develop into real
contracts, so far it is unknown.
