region Sergey Zhvachkin and the vice-president for the corporate relations of
Yandex Company Marina Yanina signed the memorandum of cooperation in the sphere
of information technologies, which, in particular, provides joint educational
projects, the press service of the region administration reported.
It is explained that the memorandum of cooperation was
signed on Tuesday at the international forum "Open Innovations",
which takes place in Moscow in science and technology park Skolkovo now.

Zhvachkin and the top manager of Yandex agreed about
joint development of information and communication technologies, promoting of
the Russian Internet services, implementation of educational projects in the
sphere of computer literacy and development of Internet technologies. According
to Zhvachkin, cooperation with Yandex will open new opportunities for
innovative business in the region.
"The Tomsk region is distinguished by strong
positions in intellectual mechanical engineering, automation of productions,
radio electronics and other breakthrough branches. We actively develop
information technologies for the real sector of economy, social sphere, and
comfortable urban environment together with the Tomsk universities. These
projects will be quicker and more effectively together with Yandex", –
Zhvachkin's words are cited in the message.
The international forum "Open Innovations"
takes place for the sixth time under the auspices of the Government of the
Russian Federation. Its purpose is development and commercialization of the
latest technologies, promoting of world technological brands and creation of
new instruments of the international cooperation in the sphere of innovations.
