TOMSK, Nov 10 – RIA Tomsk.InfoWatch company conducts negotiations with Tomsk State University (TSU) on start of a master course on information security in the university, the president of InfoWatch group of companies, cofounder of Kaspersky Lab Natalya Kasperskaya told journalists on Friday.

As Kasperskaya explained, InfoWatch opened department at the Institute of Electronics and Mathematics in capital Higher School of Economics in 2017 which is engaged in practical aspects of information security of enterprises. Students of the department gain practical knowledge of construction of models of cyberthreats, study their types. Then they work out  on concrete program tools how to reflect such attacks. The negotiations with TSU on implementation of the similar project are now conducted.

"It is a course for master students or elder years of a specialist programme. We realize it for the first year and if the program is successful, we will extend it. And, I think, (it) will be at those universities with which we have a dense cooperation. TSU is one of the first in the list", – she told at the press conference in the RIA Tomsk media center.

As the head of Laboratory for Big Data Science and Social Studies of TSU Mikhail Myagkov noted in turn, "InfoWatch company developed a good master program for cyber security – unique in Russia. We plan to test it in TSU".
