got the 136th place in the Moscow international rating "The Three
University Missions"; among Russian universities, which entered the
rating, Polytechnic University got the seventh place, the press service of the
university reports on Tuesday.
It is specified that the rating
"The Three University Missions" is developed with the initiative of
the Russian Union of Rectors. It is essentially new academic rating estimating
all three key missions of the university: education, science and interaction
with society. It is based on uniformly measured quantitative indices and
excludes application of these reputation polls. 338 universities from 80
countries of the world entered a short list of the rating.
"Tomsk Polytechnic University
took the 136th position in the rating of world universities, and the seventh
place among the Russians", – it is said in the statement of TPU.

According to the data published on
the rating website, Tomsk Polytechnic University got 32,819 points.
The first places of the rating are
held by Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
Moscow State University (the 25th place), St. Petersburg State University (the
72nd place), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (the 73rd place),
Higher School of Economics (the 107th place), MEPhI (131 places) and
Novosibirsk State University (the 132nd place) became the best Russian
universities.
The rating included one more Tomsk
university – Tomsk State University that got the 176th place in the general
rating and became the ninth among Russian universities.
