graduate of the Tomsk children's and youth sports school
"Svetlenskaya" will take part at the Olympics-2018 as part of the
national team of the Republic of Belarus in skiing, the press service of the
mayor's office of Tomsk reports on Wednesday.
Earlier it was reported that the XXIII Winter Olympic
Games will be held from 9 to 25 February 2018 in the city of Pyeongchang (South
Korea). Former resident of Tomsk freestyler Ekaterina Stolyarova was included
in the list of participants of the Olympic Games. She will compete for the
Krasnodar Krai. The skater from Seversk Alexandra Kachurkina, applying to
participate at the Olympics, was not approved by the International Olympic
Committee for the performance.
"Kirillova will take part at the Olympic
Games-2018 as part of the Belarusian national team on cross-country skiing. The
athlete was born in Tomsk and today has a dual citizenship - in Russia and
Belarus. In the Tomsk children's and youth sports school
"Svetlenskaya" was coached by the leading teacher Viktor
Parfinenko", – is said in the report.

It is clarified that Kirillova has repeatedly won city
and regional competitions in cross-country skiing and is the owner of a nominal
scholarship of the administration of Tomsk in the nomination "Talented and
Gifted Youth" in 2009-2012 and in the nomination "Olympic Hope"
in 2013.
Also Kirillova is a two-time winner of the Russian
championship among girls, the winner of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal
District championship in cross-country skiing, a double prizewinner of the VI
Games of Russia. In addition, she represented Russia at the "European
Youth Olympic Festival" in Romania.
As previously reported by the federal media, at the
Olympic Games in South Korea Russian athletes will compete under a neutral
flag.
