Feb 21 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk scientists begin to develop
and test wound healing means for tropics in Vietnam in 2018; work on it and
other target projects for Southeast Asia to be conducted on the basis of
scientific center of FASO Russia in Vietnam, director of Institute of Strength
Physics and Materials Science (ISPMS) of SB RAS Sergey Psakhye reported to RIA
Tomsk.
"The wound healing bandages Vitavallis developed in ISPMS are
well-known in the market, including foreign. The staff of the Institute will
work on creation of new materials for wound healing in Vietnam which have to
work in tropical conditions where, as we know, this process goes very hard
because conditions of tropics are ideal for reproduction of bacteria", –
Psakhye told.
According to him, scientific center of FASO in Vietnam is based in three
cities: Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang and Hanoi. It is the Joint Russian-Vietnamese
Tropical research and technological center which is branch of A.N. Severtsov
Institute of Ecology and Evolution. It was created 30 years ago by Academy of
Sciences of the USSR on the basis of the intergovernmental agreement between
the USSR and Vietnam.

Psakhye added that residents of Tomsk will also
participate in creation of a number of the technologies connected with
development of corrosion-resistant coverings and oil production in the
conditions of tropics.
"Now there is a task to expand a circle of tasks of these
laboratories and to build the system of advance of results of the Russian
scientists to the countries of Southeast Asia. Of course, not just we will
participate in this important work, but also scientists from various institutes
of FASO Russia. For example, a number of the tasks connected with specifics of
extraction of high-viscosity Vietnamese oil will solve Institute of Petroleum
Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the RAS", – he emphasized.
Psakhye specified that it is planned to begin work of laboratories on
the new directions in the pilot mode until the end of the year, they will start
working to the full extent from next year.
