RIA Tomsk. Forty-eight undergraduates and five teachers of
Tomsk State University (TSU), Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) became
scholarship holders of Vladimir Potanin's Charitable Foundation, the press
service of the foundation said on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that
the full-time rounds of competition to receive a grant of the Potanin
Charitable Foundation were held in January and February 2018 in the leading
universities of eight Russian cities. About 5 thousand people took part in the
extra-mural stage, 2 thousand undergraduates passed to the internal stage. From
them there are 184 – Tomsk citizens: 106 from TSU (this is the second result in
Russia), 71 – from TPU and seven – from TUSUR.
The report specifies that
according to the results of the two rounds, 500 winners representing different
scientific schools and directions, from technical to humanitarian ones, were
defined. All of them will receive a scholarship of the Foundation.
"Forty-eight students from
... Tomsk State University, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and
Radioelectronics and ... Tomsk Polytechnic University will receive a monthly
scholarship of Vladimir Potanin's Charitable Foundation in the amount of 20
thousand rubles a month before graduation from the magistracy", – is said
in the statement.

It is added that the results
of the grant competition for the teachers of the magistracy have also been
summed up. Applications for it were submitted by 1730 people, 941 were allowed
to participation, and 100 people became winners. Among them there are five
masters teachers from TSU, TPU and TUSUR. On their researches they will receive
a grant at the rate to 500 thousand rubles.
The scholarship program of the
Vladimir Potanin's Charitable Foundation is aimed to support students and
teachers of the master's program at the leading universities of the Russian
Federation. Since 2000, more than 27,000 students and more than 2,000 teachers
from 83 universities have received scholarships and grants.
