Center for digital economy personnel training to be created in Tomsk

TOMSK, Apr 5 – RIA Tomsk. The Center for Advanced Training of Personnel for Digital Economy WorldSkills Russia will be established in Tomsk, the deputy head of the organization Svetlana Krajchinskaya said at a meeting of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly for Education and Science and the Legislation Committee of the AIRR.

The visiting meeting of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly for Education and Science and the Legislation Committee of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) is held in Tomsk on April 4-5, 2018. The main goal - is to develop legislative measures to create in Russia a system of continuous training of highly qualified personnel for the digital economy.

"The Center for Advanced Training of Personnel for Digital Economy will be established in Tomsk on the basis of the developments of the "Young Professionals" movement, which has developed in the framework of WorldSkills Russia.The innovative territorial cluster will become a business partner for the developed system of training", – Krajchinskaya said.

Ogorodova: Tomsk have to become a leader in digital economy formation

"The Center for Advanced Training of Personnel allows, without breaking training programs of educational institutions, to make short outreach programs from specific companies with their needs and run these programs in already existing educational institutions – universities and colleges", – the head of the the Tomsk Regional Innovation Enterprises Association Igor Sokolovsky emphasized.

According to him, the center in Tomsk will include six technical schools, three universities and 204 IT companies which are included into the association. The center will work in 2018, the exact terms will be determined in the coming weeks.
