(MEPhI) united for implementation of projects in the sphere of anti-terrorist
safety, it is reported on Monday on the website of the Tomsk university.
It is specified that the
efforts will be combined by two university centers which deal with issues of
scientific and technological maintenance of safety of the state.
"We combine efforts for
attraction of additional resources and reduction of time which is spent for
anti-terrorist developments. We will be able to submit joint proposals to
federal competitions or to work for the benefit of FSB and other structures",
– the director of the Center of Development of Science, Technologies and
Education in the Field of Defense and Safety of the State of TSU Alexander
Vorozhtsov is quoted in the message.

The delegation of MEPhI spent
several days in TSU, studying developments of the Tomsk university. Residents
of Tomsk presented the methods of remote detection of explosive and toxic
substances to colleagues created instruments and devices, for example, the
digital x-ray tomograph, the system of the contactless and hidden examination
of spaces and rooms for search of dangerous objects by means of radio waves.
As the press service notes,
the Center of Development of Science, Technologies and Education in the Field
of Defense and Safety of the State of TSU already has experience of cooperation
with the similar center of the universities of St. Petersburg (Northwest
Center) and the Center of the Moscow State University (MSU).
"Experience of
association of activity of the centers shows that collaboration allows to
create a competitive hi-tech product at smaller expenses", – it is said in
the statement.
