TOMSK, May 21 – RIA Tomsk. The Tomsk "Micran" company brings on domestic market Industrial Internet of Things technology, capable of uniting into a single network thousands of sensors; technology can be used both by enterprises for the organization of "deserted" productions, and for the project "Smart City", the innovative portal of the Tomsk region informs on Monday.

It is specified that the special laboratory created in "Micran" is engaged in developments in the field of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). To date, its employees completed a number of orders for the creation of networks for the collection and analysis of data from customers from agribusiness, oil and gas industry and are ready now to present it on the domestic market.

"For the vineyards in Italy, a system of monitoring and controlling the moisture and concentration of fertilizers in the soil was required, the oil company needed a network of remote data collection from gas meters. It was impossible to solve tasks by standard methods ... In each project an individual approach was required", – the technical director of "Micran" Alexey Yakimov is quoted.

According to him, the LoRa technology was chosen to solve the problem, it's allows to transmit information over long distances at low speed. To deploy the LoRa network, it's needed a minimum capital cost, there is no need for a 3/4/5G network coverage. The technology is applicable both in Russia and abroad, as any frequency bands are supported – from 137 to 1020 megahertz.

"It is possible to connect sensors of temperature, humidity, smoke, movement, counters and operated systems installed to subscriber devices including in hard-to-reach spots. Sensors, as a rule, are completely autonomous, the temperature range from 60 below zero to 850 degrees above, the resource is up to 20 years. Several thousands of subscriber devices can be connected to one base station", – is explained in the message.

It is added that after successful implementation of the "pilots" abroad, "Micran" starts promoting IIoT development ideas both in the Russian and Tomsk markets. This summer, a demonstration of technology is planned for Tomsk enterprises, as well as for municipal authorities for its use in such projects as "Smart City" and "Safe Village."

Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the Tomsk region intend to make the region a pilot site of the All-Russian project of the Ministry of Construction "Smart City". In 2017, the "Living Laboratory" was created in the region to combine modern solutions for urban infrastructure: from public transport and information boards to the management of multi-apartment buildings. In 2018 this project was supported by the National Technological Initiative (NTI).
