TOMSK,
Jun 14 – RIA Tomsk. The
vocalist of the Bad Boys Blue group John McInerney on Thursday met with the
doctors of the Tomsk ambulance to thank them for the surgery they did to him a
year ago, the correspondent of RIA Tomsk reports.
Earlier it was reported that McInerney
in March 2017 was in an accident on the way from Novosibirsk to Tomsk on a
concert. The musician got serious injuries, including a hip fracture, an urgent
operation was required, which was done by doctors of the Tomsk emergency
hospital. After that, the musician was transferred to the Tomsk Regional
Clinical Hospital. A year after these events, McInerney returned to Tomsk.
On Thursday, June 14, McInerney visited
the emergency hospital, the doctors of which took part in his treatment after
the accident. The artist was examined by the head of the neurosurgical and
traumatological departments of the hospital: they did an X-ray, computed
tomography of the hip and spine, and gave recommendations for further
rehabilitation.
"I came to say thanks to the
surgeons here in Tomsk. They did a difficult surgery, and now everything is
fine. I am glad to be in Tomsk and say thanks to the doctors in person.
Everything that happened, this surgery... Since then a year passed and I
decided to go to Tomsk as soon as such opportunity appeared. It's very
important to say thanks you", – McInerney told reporters.
He added that he is still undergoing
rehabilitation, but now he feels fine and walks a lot. "I still go with a
cane, but generally I do not need it, although sometimes it helps. I think the
treatment was successful", – the musician added.
Also McInerney said that he does not
intend to attend the games of the FIFA World Cup, which takes place in 11
Russian cities from June 14 to July 15. "I'm from Liverpool, I'm a fan of
the Liverpool team. I will be rooting for Spain and England at the World Cup – Liverpool, unfortunately, will not play at the championship", – he joked.
As the manager of Bad Boys Blue group in
Russia Taras Volkovinsky informed RIA Tomsk, now to the artist in Tomsk
"it is much more cheerful, than one year ago – it is a lot of greens and
the sun".
