TOMSK, Jun 18 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University
(TPU) and Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone signed an
agreement on cooperation; the parties plan to cooperate in the field of
pharmaceutics, biotechnology, IT, industrial robotics, is reported on the TPU
website on Monday.
The signing of the document took place during the working visit of the
delegation of Shijiazhuang (China) to TPU.
"The signing of the agreement – is the only first step. It should
become a basis for the development of further working relations. We want to get
acquainted with your interesting developments, projects entering a zone of our
interests", – the vice mayor of Shijiazhuang, the secretary of the working
committee of the Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone Zhao Wenfeng
is quoted in the message.
It is specified that Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone
specializes in three industrial clusters: biopharmaceuticals,
telecommunications and microelectronic equipment, and instrumentation.
In his turn, Roman Ostvald, acting Vice Rector for Scientific Work and
Innovations of TPU, emphasized the main directions for the development of
cooperation.

"Pharmaceuticals, biotechnologies, information technologies, industrial
robotics. Today, TPU is one of the main partners of the KUKA company in the
Siberian region, and on behalf of the ministry we are working on a project that
would allow to link industrial robots of different manufacturers into a single
complex", – he reported.
According to the press service of the university, the zones are formed in
different provinces of China and their main task is the introduction of new
high-tech production methods at industrial enterprises. On the territory of
such zones, resident enterprises receive preferential taxation and affordable credit
system.
