Jul 18 – RIA Tomsk, Olga Trepova. Student of
Tomsk State University (TSU) developed service for visitors of entrants and
other city visitors – routes across Tomsk "Gulyaj"; now four routes
on city sights are available on the website of the project, the press service
of the mayor's office reported on Wednesday.
"The
guide was developed for the aid to entrants by the student of Faculty of
Journalism of Tomsk State University Anastasia Lenshina. <…> As the
developer noted, the emphasis in routes is placed on parks, squares of the city
and monuments of architecture, several theaters and cafe are specified
here", – it is said in the statement.
It
is noted that photographers, journalists, illustrators, proofreaders are
students and graduates of TSU were also involved in the team of developers of
the service. Four routes on sights of Tomsk are available on the website of the
project. They are followed by comments, photos and the map which 2can be
downloaded to phone and to walk, without being afraid to get lost.
"I
was born and lived in Tomsk therefore I know the city well. And often I hear
that we have no place to go. Yes, this is not St. Petersburg with canals and
palaces but there are places to walk. <…> Of course, it is necessary to
understand that the city isn't limited to four routes. This guide is some kind
of push to further independent studying of Tomsk", – the press service of
TSU cites Lenshina's words in turn.
Lenshina
explains on the page in the social network VKontakte that the developers made
the version only for the computer so far, "so it is better for you to
believe, accept and not to try to open it with a mobile phone".
Duration
of the routes is on average 3-3,5 kilometers, it is added in the message of the
university. Search of investors and bringing a resource to the business project
is in the long term. Service of the routes across Tomsk "Gulyaj" was
created within the thesis on the TSU master program "New Media,
Photojournalism and Media Design". It is carried out since 2015 together
with the news agency "RIA Tomsk".
