Master student of Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB) Alina Krivosheina won the international competition of innovative architectural concepts, having offered the project of school for children with disabilities, the press service of the region administration reported on Thursday.
"Work of Alina Krivosheina, the undergraduate of the first year of training of Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building, won first place in category "Education" of the international competition of innovative architectural concepts BI Group Architect Awards (Kazakhstan)", – it is said in the statement.
It is noted that the girl presented the project of comprehensive school on 660 places in the city of Almaty for the competition. A main goal of the project is creation of the barrier-free environment for persons with limited opportunities.
"More than seven thousand children with developmental disabilities live in Almaty. Some of them can study at comprehensive schools on a par with ordinary children. I offered the project of comprehensive school with the barrier-free environment and have tried to solve one of the most complex problems – evacuations of children with limited physical capacities", – the press service quoted words of the author of the project.

It is specified that more than 300 projects of students and practicing architects from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania and Kazakhstan participated in the competition BI Group Architect Awards. The jury selected 20 best works in the second stage, which passed internally in Astana. Winners of the competition in each category will receive the monetary certificate, the order of the project from construction holding BI Group and profile courses in Europe.
