TSUAB architects designed school & medcenter by principle of "thermos"

TOMSK, Aug 7 – RIA Tomsk. Architects of Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB) designed several buildings on new technology thanks to which houses keep five times more heat, than usual buildings; development isn't put in mass production yet, head of Chair of Architecture of Civil and Industrial Buildings of TSUAB Sergey Ovsyannikov told RIA Tomsk.

Earlier it was reported that scientists of TSUAB began to develop energy efficient houses - "thermoses" of wood. Thermal losses in such buildings are connected only with air exchange that leads to considerable reduction of heat losses.

"The houses offered by us are approximately five times warmer, than those which are projected according to construction norms and regulations. It allows to refuse standard heating systems and to heat them with electricity or alternative sources, for example, energy of the sun … Plus to it is that such house is optimum for use for the "clever house" system regarding economy of resources", – Ovsyannikov told.

He specified that several standard buildings for rural areas were designed on new technology in TSUAB: club, small school, medical and obstetrical center, building of a Village Council, police station. Designs have resistance to a heat transfer of walls two-four times more, than usual buildings.

The new construction technology passed tests in laboratory of construction physics of TSUAB and is protected by patents. It wasn’t tested at construction of houses for orphan children in Kozhevnikovsky district. However, the heatpreserving houses haven't gone "to a series" yet.

"We have several completely counted projects, but so far any of them isn't realized … Projects lie on the shelf, but we are full of optimism. Society hasn't ripened to build economic cheap buildings in a mass order so far", – Ovsyannikov noted.
