Russian Federation in Malaysia Mr. Teoh Seng Lee visited Tomsk State University
(TSU), one of the results of the visit will be a joint educational program on
software engineering with several Malaysian colleges, the press service of the
university said on Tuesday.
According to the press service, TSU was visited by the Honorable Consul of
the Russian Federation in Malaysia Mr. Teoh Seng Lee and the director of the
office of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Medan (North
Sumatra, Indonesia) Muhammad Fauzi, during the visit they became interested in
the "Software Engineering" direction.
"At the meeting with the teachers of Software Engineering were
discussed issues of cooperation in the recruitment of Malaysian and Indonesian
students. For students interested in this specialty it was decided to start a
joint educational program with several Malaysian colleges", – is said in
the report.

With reference to Mr. Teoh Seng Lee it is noted that the system of
foreigners recruiting is at a high level at TSU. "I want to tell students
of Malaysia about the advantages of studying here ... I will try to attract
Malaysian students with all my might to study in Russia, at TSU", – the
press service quotes his words. Also guests were pleasantly surprised by the
low cost of accommodation in the "Parus" dormitory.
"The priority of TSU is given more to the Asian direction: China,
India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Indonesian partners are extremely positive about
Russia, Russian culture, Russian language. Malaysia – is a dynamically
developing country, it also has good relations with Russia", – the
Vice-Rector of TSU for International Affairs Artyom Rykun is quoted in the message.
It is added that the issues of interaction in the sphere of education
between TSU and the office of the Governor of North Sumatra were also discussed
at the meeting. TSU plans to offer North Sumatra educational programs in the
field of agriculture and information technology.
