© сайт Томского государственного университета TOMSK, Sep 19 – RIA Tomsk. Radiophysics of Tomsk State University (TSU) developed device, which measures electrophysical parameters of
materials in one minute; the university is ready to mass production of the
equipment, the press service of the university reports on Wednesday.
It is explained with reference to the associate professor of radio
physical faculty of TSU Sergey Shipilov that it is necessary to measure
characteristics of materials, for example, at production of radiotransparent
coverings of antennas, testing of various absorbers and dielectrics. Now
measurements of electric characteristics of materials are taken in laboratories
with the anechoic camera, and obtaining results takes a lot of time.
"Radiophysics of TSU decided to simplify measurements and created
the WaveCube device <…>. The device represents a cube of 60/60/60
centimeters in size in which the special focusing device providing localization
of radiation with the studied material is located. Its work doesn't require the
anechoic camera. <…> All process of measurement takes less than one
minute", – it is said in the statement.
It is noted that the device can be demanded by the technological
companies, which make big consignments of materials.
"There are no analogs of this development in Russia, comparable at
the price … Scientists developed technology for mass production of
installations, and university SIE "Radiovision" is ready to be
engaged in small production by individual orders", – the press service
adds.
