TOMSK, Oct 16 – RIA Tomsk. New engineering center of
electronics will appear in 2019 on the basis of Tomsk State University (TSU),
it will help scientists to bring developments and technologies to the market,
having found industrial partners for them, the press service of the university
reported on Tuesday.
It is noted that the engineering center of electronics will be created
in TSU in 2019. The memorandum of creation of the center was signed by
representatives of Rostec State Corporation, National association of transfer
of technologies and TSU on closing of the forum of new solutions U-NOVUS.
"Rostec unites more than 700 organizations, including
"Helicopters of Russia", Central Research Institute Tochmash, KAMAZ
and others. It is supposed that the engineering center of electronics will
submit projects and technologies of TSU scientists that the companies develope
new products on their basis and brought them to the market", – it is said
in the statement.
It is specified that the center will operate generally on base of the
Siberian Institute of Physics and Technology, first of all the attention will
be paid to already existing developments of professors Alexander Potekayev,
Vladimir Yakubov and Oleg Tolbanov.
"It is even not about creation of new types, but about improvement
of those qualitative characteristics of production which we release now that it
was more competitive. <…> It is really difficult to find the new markets,
new products in the civil sector, we very count on the help of talents from the
universities of Tomsk", – cited words of the executive director of Rostec
Oleg Yevtushenko in the press service.

According to the rector of TSU Eduard Galazhinsky it is added that
Rostec is focused on creation of hi-tech production. Modern electronic base is
a basis of all new products of the company. TSU have both schools of sciences
of this profile, and the international experience in the field of electronics.
"The university was highly appreciated in Europe when we created
installation for testing of electronics in the CERN", – the rector is
quoted.
Earlier it was reported that the forum U-NOVUS took place in Tomsk on
October 9 – 13. Its program instead of traditional panel discussions, round
tables and reports included platforms of new formats: workshops, networking,
design sessions, art residences.
