"Starting from cinema, we pass to other subjects – "smart
city" and other projects – already with concrete national embassies (in
the Russian Federation) … We discuss a possibility of Denmark joining to the
"Live Laboratory" project which is implemented together with the
Netherlands. This is due to the fact that diplomats arrived to the festival and
could communicate to people from other spheres in Tomsk", – Shulgova told.
She noted that within the film festival scientists-urbanists came to
Tomsk for negotiations on cooperation from these countries. In particular, the
Dutch expert met young designers and students: "Dutches, they have even
presented the movie – "Wild Amsterdam" which is tied on urbanistics
in many respects and is devoted to a subject of integration of green islands
into city space".
A number of educational international projects, according to Shulgova,
is discussed with participation of the Tomsk universities: "For example,
TSU (Tomsk State University) announced opening of the Center of the European
Photo, having invited countries of Europe to cooperation... We want to help
cooperation of faculty of journalism with the Irish Week festival (takes place
in Moscow and St. Petersburg – Ed.), which director came to Tomsk".
