TOMSK, Oct 27 – RIA Tomsk. Open online course for school students "Future engineering" in Chinese and Russian languages received the greatest popularity among users of Internet lyceum of the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), it is told in the report of the rector of the university Petr Chubik.
Earlier it was reported that the enlarged meeting of the Academic council took place in TPU where Chubik submitted the report on results of implementation of the election program with which he was elected in 2013 and the draft of the program of development of the university for 2019-2023.
"The university developed and started the unique interactive educational online platform on the basis of technologies of gamification – "TPU Internet lyceum" to icrease STEM competences at school students of the country and involvement of most talented in TPU orbit. This is combination of the training games, online courses, exercise machines, quests and other forms", – is said in the document.

According to the university, the number of users of the new platform was nearly 76 thousand people last year – it is students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and other states.
"The mass open online course "Future engineering" in the Russian and Chinese languages about the leading directions of preparation in TPU enjoys the greatest popularity: "cybernetics", "power", "3D-modeling of elements of space equipment", "geology", "engineering", – it is said in the report.
The Internet lyceum realizes interactive training courses with game mechanics in which school students get acquainted with educational content of subject matters. In particular, it is a game platformer about minerals of Russia "Expedition", scientific cross-disciplinary quest about geological history of Earth "Pilgrims" and others.
