"Nuclear, Thermal and Renewable Power and the Accompanying
Technologies" direction; according to the program citizens of Ghana, Iran,
Nigeria, Zambia, India and China will be trained in the first year, press
service of TPU reports.
"English-language postgraduate
programe "Nuclear, Thermal and Renewable Power and the Accompanying
Technologies" direction starts at the Tomsk Polytechnic University. Young
scientists from Ghana, Iran, Nigeria, Zambia, India and China will become the
first graduate students of the new profile of Engineering school of nuclear
technologies", – it is said in the statement.

It is specified that graduate students have
been sent to Tomsk by Rosatom state corporation for which TPU is one of basic
university. 12 people will be trained in English, part of them – graduates of
the TPU Nuclear Power Installations Operation master program. In particular,
Rosatom sended six graduate students from Iran to training in inquiry of the
government of the republic.
According to the director of Engineering
school of nuclear technologies of TPU Oleg Dolmatov which are cited by the
press service, TPU is the only university in Russia which gives the chance to
the foreign students to be trained a part on the operating research reactor and
to conduct dissertation researches.
"Experience of our foreign graduates
on the research reactor is enormous competitive advantage in their countries.
Because it shows that knowledge acquired in the university has not only
theoretical character. Employers very much expect our students", – the
press service quotes Dolmatov.
