TOMSK, Nov 27
– RIA Tomsk. The market of unmanned air services in Russia, according to
experts of the Siberian Center of the Russian Foundation for Advanced Research
Projects (ARF) is growing by 16.7% per year and by 2020 only within the Tomsk
region will reach 542 million rubles, the press service of the regional administration
reports on Tuesday.
Earlier it
was reported that from July 2018 in the Tomsk region the federal project
"Taiga" is being implemented, which involves the creation of an experimental
area in the region for cargo delivery and the performance of other tasks using
unmanned aircraft complexes. In August, the governor Sergei Zhvachkin, as well
as representatives of the Military-Industrial Commission of Russia and the
Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects, signed a roadmap of the
project until 2023.
"According
to the Siberian Center of ARF, the market of unmanned air services in Russia is

It is noted
that in the Tomsk region are being developed about 20 projects related to the
use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The analysis shows that in the region there is
a need to solve more than 130 tasks using unmanned aircraft: these are various
types of monitoring and surveying (forest, fuel and energy complex
infrastructure, roads, agriculture), as well as the delivery of light loads.
"Due to
the existing technological and regulatory restrictions, no one yet performs the
transportation of goods (by UAVs). Meanwhile, this functional service - is one
of the most promising areas for the industry, as well as medicine and the
banking sector, and the Tomsk region can first fully open the sky", – the
press service quotes the head of the Siberian Center of the Russian Foundation
for Advanced Research Projects Vladislav Sychkov.
The first
stage of the project "Taiga" (market research, identification of
needs, design) is calculated til 2019. In the future, it is planned to create
on the territory of the Tomsk region ground infrastructure for UAVs: takeoff
and landing platforms of aircraft-type vehicles, bases for storage and repair,
dispatching, navigation and communications systems, is emphasized in the
message.
