Zheleyko became the world champion in bodybuilding among women of 35-39 years
higher than 163 centimeters, also she got silver medal in fight for a title of
the all-around champion of the world – 2018, the press service of the regional
administration reported on Monday.
It is specified that the World Cup among masters in bodybuilding and fitness
took place from December 7 to December 10 in the Spanish city of Tarragona with
assistance of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB).
"The resident of Tomsk Irina Zheleyko competed for Russian national
team. She bypassed 15 participants in growth category over 163 centimeters of
age group of 35-39 years and as a result won the first place and a gold medal
for a Russian national team", – it is said in the statement.
As the press service specifies with reference to the president of the Federation
of Bodybuilding of the Tomsk region Dmitry Shishkin, Zheleyko also won silver
in absolute superiority among winners of the World Cup in the fitness bikini
nominations.
It is noted that she gained the identical number of points with other
Russian, the Muscovite Anna Prokhorova, however conceded her a title of the
all-around champion of the world – 2018 by additional criteria of calculation.
According to the department of sport and youth policy of the Tomsk region,
the national team of Russia took the seventh place in a team championship of
the World Cup. Hosts of the championship – Spanish national team following the
results of the tournament, won the victory.
