TOMSK, Mar 18 – RIA Tomsk. Students of Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU) from Great
Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Japan, China, Mongolia and the CIS
countries tool part in the first "Spartakiad of Peoples of TSPU"; in
five sports Brazilians were the best, in the relay the CIS countries became the
strongest, the press service of the university reported.
According to the press service, on March 16, the first
"Spartakiad of Peoples of TSPU" was held at the university for
students who arrived to study in the framework of exchanges. Representatives of
the CIS countries, Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Japan,
China, Mongolia and Russia competed in five sports: darts, basketball,
football, hockey and bowling. Competitions were held at different
platforms-"stations".
"By the results of passing all the tests, the
main panel of judges of the sports and athletics meeting summed up the games
results in several tests ... Team (main stations): the 1st place - Brazil team;
the 2nd place - Japan team; the 3rd place - EU team", - is said in the report.
It is noted that in a separate standings - in the
relay - the winner was the team of the CIS countries, the second place take
Mongolia, the third - the countries of the European Union. In the individual
event, both young men and women were recognized as the best representatives of
the neighboring countries - Meha Makhmadsaidov and Sofia Bezrukova.
Winners and prize-winners of the "Spartakiad of
Peoples of TSPU" were awarded with cups and medals made of traditional
Russian materials - birch and bark.
It is added that a unique international sporting event
for Tomsk was organized by specialists of the Department of International
Cooperation of TSPU, who are working to expand the boundaries of international
partnership, as well as representatives of the Faculty of Physical Education
and Sports, TSPU sports club and the Main panel of judges of the University.
