TOMSK, Apr 24 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) and Paris Institute of Technology (ParisTech) will cooperate in the field of big data and computer security, the press service of the university reported on Wednesday.
It is specified that representatives of ParisTech, which unites 12 higher engineering and commercial schools in Paris and its suburbs, visited TSU on a working visit. With three of them Tomsk University implements double degree programs. A delegation from ParisTech met with the deans and directors of TSU institutes in order to present the possibilities of scientific and educational consortium and identify areas for joint projects.
"We allocated three priority areas (for interaction – Ed.) – big data analysis and the use of big data in different areas (medicine, industry), research aimed at creation of artificial intelligence, working in the line of digital trust (information security, cyber risks reducing)", – the director of the TSU Center of Computer and Data Science Alexander Zamyatin is quoted.

According to him, digital trust – is a hot topic for all industries dealing with personal data and confidential information. The widespread adoption of digital technologies requires robust information security measures.
As the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Tomsk State University Artyom Rykun noted in turn, one of the main interests of the university – is to train students in ParisTech magistracy, where there are tremendous opportunities for research activities.
"By gaining access to the latest technologies and equipment, students themselves will be the carriers of advanced knowledge, with which they will return to Tomsk. Competences acquired at ParisTech will allow young professionals to solve current technical problems of TSU industrial partners ... Four students of the university have already been selected at ParisTech", – informs the press service with reference to Rykun.
