TOMSK, May 2 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk citizens without professional skills can learn how to design clothes, fashion stylistics and develop their own brand within the framework of the new training course of the Siberian Design Center (SDC) of Tomsk State University (TSU) "Designing of an Author's Collection", the executive director of the Center Dmitry Abramoy told RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was reported that since October 2018 in the TSU SDC began to train fashion designers, fashion stylists and image consultants. Then it was assumed that the participants of the course begin their studies with a certain set of knowledge and skills.
According to Abramoy, the laboratory of fashion and style Fashion Lab of the TSU Siberian Design Center in 2019 will begin to recruit students for the new training course "Designing of an Author's Collection". Anyone can learn how to design clothes on it.
"This course is good because it is short, dynamic and designed for a diverse audience without professional skills in the fashion industry. We have already run several courses for professionals, but this complicates the process, since finding such people in Tomsk is not easy", – the interlocutor of the agency told.
He clarified that the course will begin on May 27, 2019 and will last 1.5 months. The organizers intend to recruit a group of 10-15 students. Training is paid and will cost novice fashion designers 14.5 thousand rubles.
According to the official website of the Siberian Design Center (SDC), training in it is currently conducted in four programs of the fashion industry. And they all undergo TSU quality control. Initially, the center was created in 2017 in Tomsk for the education and training of students according to the international standards.
