Share of non-oil and gas export of the Tomsk region in 2018 made 78%

TOMSK, May 6 – RIA Tomsk. The share of the non-oil and gas and non-energy goods and services exported out of borders of the Tomsk region in 2018 made 78%; generally, Tomsk companies exported products of deep wood processing, IT services, telecommunication and medical equipment and laboratory equipment, the press service of the region administration reports on Monday.

Earlier it was reported that the foreign trade turnover of the Tomsk enterprises and organizations in 2018 made 373.6 million dollars. In comparison with 2017 it increased by 28.4% (for 82.5 million dollars). The volume of export of the Tomsk companies in 2018 was 323.3 million dollars while import – 50.3 million dollars.

"The share of non-oil and gas and non-energy export made more than 78% in the Tomsk region following the results of 2018. (Mainly it is) the products of deep wood processing, IT services, telecommunication equipment, laboratory equipment, installations of induction heating, medical materials and devices, filtering materials and food and children's developing goods", – it is said in the statement.

It is noted that according to the analytical portal of the Russian export center, the volume of regional export of goods in 2018 was more than 2 billion rubles, export of services exceeded 300 million rubles.

"Within the programs of support of export-oriented business more than 100 companies of the region signed 180 export contracts for the sum of 2.5 billion rubles in 2017-2018. Including, contracts for more than one billion rubles were signed by the companies of small and medium enterprises", – the press service quotes the director of the center of development of foreign economic activity of the Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Belyaev.

In the Tomsk region the system of support of exporters is created, in particular the regional Center of support of export works, mechanisms of internationalization of small and medium enterprises(SME) by means of Enterprise Europe Network services are started. Also the region will organize business missions, meetings and negotiations with foreign business delegations, is emphasized in the message.
