TOMSK, May 13 – RIA Tomsk. Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of Tomsk State University (IAMCS TSU) with partners – leading IT companies of Russia – updated the master's programs in all relevant fields; purpose of "restart" – is to update the material for the preparation of new computer technologies developers, the press service of TSU reports on Monday.
The report says that, according to data of a research of Internet Initiatives Development Fund, digital economy of Russia will need 2 million IT specialists in the next 10 years. The lack of professionals in this area will lead to the underdevelopment of the digital economy and the inability to compete with actively developing countries.
"IAMCS TSU together with industrial partners – leading IT companies of the Russian Federation – carried out an “upgrade” of all relevant master's programs. Specialists ... will be taught to create breakthrough technologies using such tools as artificial intelligence, big data analysis, machine and deep learning, virtual and augmented reality, neural networks for a variety of industries", – is said in the statement.

A number of reputable IT-companies took part in forming the IAMCS educational trajectories: Center of Financial Technologies, Rubius, Econophysica, Micran, as well as visionaries of the Russian cybersecurity market – InfoWatch, BI.ZONE, Kribrum and others, notes the press service.
"As a result of reengineering, all programs have acquired specialized profiles that are consonant with the priority areas of the digital economy. One or two industrial partners will accompany the training in each of them”, – is emphasized in the message.
So, for example, the big data mining and applications program includes the specialties "Industry 4.0 (partners – EleSy and Atomic Soft), Social media (partners – Kribrum and Palex), "Technologies and Services for Medicine" (SSMU, Goldsmiths, University of London and Arizona State University). TSU partners in the preparation of undergraduates for the program "Computer Science and Technology" became the Rubius company and Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO University).
