TOMSK, May 21 – RIA Tomsk. One of the first university “Boiling Points” opened on Tuesday at the business incubator of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU, Belinsky Street, 51); the specifics of this space are technological entrepreneurship, said the acting rector Petr Chubik at the opening of the space.
Earlier it was reported that Tomsk Polytechnic University and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) were among the 12 universities of the Russian Federation, where the first university "Boiling Points" will be opened - spaces for the collective work of representatives of education, science, business and government, whose activities are aimed at changing the approaches of universities to educational activities, introduction of new educational formats and communication models.
“It is a great honor for us that we are opening our university “Boiling Point” in the first wave among 12 Russian universities ... If we are talking about the specifics of our “Boiling Point”, this is a technological enterprise. We have experience in this”, - Chubik said.
The deputy governor of the Tomsk region for economy Andrey Antonov noted at the opening that every university “Boiling Point” should have its own specifics: “And this specificity will not only be interdisciplinary”.

At the TPU "Boiling Point"
According to the head of TPU School of Engineering Entrepreneurship Stepan Khachin, so far the new space is located on the third floor of the university's business incubator, but after the summer repair, the "Boiling Point" will be located on two floors. Students will be able to receive here advice on starting a business, work together and create prototypes of products with which they will enter the market.
In addition, on the opening day, May 21, polytechnicians will protect graduation qualifications in the form of startups in the “Boiling Point”. "The first 20 works will protect their startup part, ... the expert committee, which consists only of businessmen, will assess how well the diploma worked out in terms of the commercialization of the developments that they created as part of the work on the diploma", - Khachin said.

At the TPU "Boiling Point"
Earlier it was reported that in order to involve students in entrepreneurial activities in TPU there are about 20 project competitions which allow them to develop their own business ideas. In addition, the university offers two courses on entrepreneurship, which are designed to shape entrepreneurial thinking.
It was also previously reported that the TUSUR "Boiling Point", which opened on Tuesday, was located in two rooms of the student business incubator on Yuzhnaya Square in Tomsk. By the end of 2019, 50 university "Boiling Points" will be opened in Russia.
