TOMSK, Jun 14 – RIA Tomsk. Dutch
architects, representatives of the LEVS bureau (Amsterdam), at the
Architectural Forum in Tomsk presented residential neighborhood at the
intersection of Komsomolsky Avenue with Sibirskaya Street; it's planned to get
buildings height from 6 to 22 floors with 950 apartments, the press service of
the regional administration reports on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that in October 2018, the
Dutch architectural bureau LEVS presented a neighborhood project developed for
the Tomsk housing company, which was supposed to be built on the territory of
the former Danone plant on Komsomolsky Avenue (intersection with Lebedev
Street). The project involved the construction of two buildings with a closed
loop and a courtyard.
"The architectural bureau LEVS presented a project
of a new residential neighborhood, which is planned to be built at the
intersection of Komsomolsky Avenue and Sibirskaya Street in Tomsk. 950
apartments are planned to be built in the neighborhood. The height of houses
will vary from 6 to 22 floors. At choice of residents will be offered 50 types
of apartments: from one- to four-room, including two-storeyed", – is said
in the statement.
It is specified that the area of residential premises
in the new microdistrict at the intersection of Komsomolsky and Sibirskaya will
be 60 thousand square meters. The first floors are planned to be given for cafe
and shops. The project presentation was held at the round table of the festival
"Architecture in Siberia", which takes place within the framework of
the Tomsk Architectural Forum.
"According to project manager Adriaan Mout, the
model is based on the classical European model, when the courtyard part of the
neighborhood is closed and the outside is "open to the city". On the
one hand, the new neighborhood is limited to the intersection of two active
highways (Komsomolsky and Sibirskaya), on the other -the Ushayka River", –
is noted in the message.
According to Mirosław Sztuka, director of the Bureau
of S&P Architektura Krajobrazu (Poland), which developed the landscape
design of the neighborhood, it is advisable to break the city beach on the
Embankment of the Ushayka River before the start of construction. "People
will start coming to this place even before it becomes a microdistrict. This
will turn the space into a place where people want to return", – the
press-service quotes Sztuka.
