TOMSK, Jun 21 – RIA Tomsk. The festival of student's
documentaries Pereprava starts on Friday at Tomsk State University (TSU); among
its participants – are young documentalists from Russia, the USA and Germany,
the dean of the TSU Higher School of Journalism Ilya Myasnikov told RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was reported that the first documentary
film festival Pereprava was held in Tomsk in June 2018. 50 documentary films
from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and other cities of Russia were
sent to the competition, 22 of them presented at the festival.
As it is specified on the festival website, this year
its program includes the display of competitive works, master classes,
pitching, sightseeing and entertainment events. Pupils from film schools,
universities and other educational institutions, regardless of their age,
citizenship and territorial location, are invited to participate.
“There are more than 60 participants from Moscow, St.
Petersburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Shadrinsk, Sergiev Posad,
Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, as well as the USA and Germany”, – Myasnikov commented.
The festival is held from June 21 to 23 by the TSU
Higher School of Journalism. Besides the Tomsk experts, in the jury there are
well-known documentary film maker, director and producer Vitaly Mansky, the
founder of the Artdocfest international documentary film festival, director,
professor of the Russian State University of Cinematography Dmitry Kabakov.
All festival events are open to a wide audience. They
will be held at the "Boiling point" site (Lenin Avenue, 26), admission
is free.
