Radiation-protective composites for spacecraft electronics of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) were recognized as the best innovative development according to the results of the competition of the RF Ministry of Defense at the "Army-2019" international forum, the press service of the regional administration reported on Thursday.
According to the website of the international military-technical forum "Army-2019", it was held from June 25 to June 30 in the Moscow region. As the press service reported on Thursday, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation summed up the results of the competition, which was held among the forum participants. The Tomsk region was represented at the forum by 12 organizations – universities and innovative companies.
"Radiation-protective composites for electronics of spacecraft and hazardous objects of Tomsk Polytechnic University have been recognized as the best innovative development according to the results of the competition of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the international military-technical forum Army-2019", – is said in the statement.

It is noted that about two thousand people visited the stand of the Tomsk region at the forum. The Kalashnikov Concern, Moscow Aviation Institute, Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering, the Chinese company DC POWER Technologies Inc. and dozens of other companies showed interest in the developments presented there. For example, the Tyazhmash company is interested in the possibility of commercial application of a 3D printer of TPU.
"Representatives of SPTI TSU (Siberian Physical-Technical Institute of Tomsk State University) are considering the possibility of concluding contracts with STT Group, Ananth Technologies Ltd and the use of a universal induction metal detector and a multi-touch gas analyzer with delegations from Brazil, India, Pakistan, China. Representatives of TPU agreed about collaboration with companies "Splav" (Moscow), State Scientific Research Test Laser Centre "Raduga" (Raduzhny), "SuperOx" (Moscow), Moscow Power Engineering Institute and others", – the press service reported.
