TOMSK, Jul 5 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) and Chamber of Patent Attorneys signed a cooperation agreement; the document provides carrying out courses for lawyers and inventors on execution of applications for the international patent in the fall of 2019, the press service of the university reported on Friday.
It is specified that the parties (TSU and interregional public organization "Chamber of Patent Attorneys") will organize "PCT school (international patent system)".
"Large-scale professional development for lawyers, engineers and scientists on features of submission of the international applications for inventions – "PCT School" will take place in September in TSU. The purpose is to increase the patent activity of scientists and engineers working in TSU, increase number of applications for inventions", – the patent attorney of the Russian Federation Svetlana Butenko is quoted in the message.

The school will be carried out by the patent attorney, Candidate of Law Sciences Tatyana Aparina. She is the first vice president of the "Chamber of Patent Attorneys".
It is added that also joint training of lawyers in the sphere of management and protection of intellectual property within the new master program "Intellectual and Digital Rights", the organization of internships and trainings for students, holding of conferences, seminars and other actions are planned at the Institute of Law of TSU.
Earlier it was reported that RECs "Intellectual Property and Intellectual Rights" was created in 2018 in TSU. Its tasks include training of world-class lawyers in the field of intellectual property. TSU is one of the few universities in Russia where the educational program in this sphere is implemented, partners of the university are Gazprombank and Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).
