TOMSK, Jul 22 - RIA Tomsk. The scientific journal "Tomsk State University Journal. Biology" has been accepted for indexing in the international databases, which confirms its compliance with world standards, the press service of the university reported on Monday.
It is specified that the magazine was founded in 2007. The editor-in-chief of the journal - is the Doctor of Biological Sciences, the TSU Vice-Rector for Social Services, Professor Sergei Kulizhskiy. The journal publishes articles on botany, zoology, biotechnology and microbiology, ecology, agrochemistry and soil science, plant physiology and biochemistry.
"The journal has been accepted for indexing in three databases (DB) on the Web of Science platform: Web of Science Core Collection's Emerging Sources Citation Index, Biological Abstracts and BIOSIS Previews. Besides, it is indexed in two more databases on this platform: Zoological Record and Russian Science Citation Index, as well as in the Scopus database", - is said in the statement.
According to the director of the TSU Biological Institute Danil Vorobiev, indexation in the international databases confirms the compliance of the journal with world standards.

“And it demonstrates the quality of research of our scientists and their projects - studies of the climate and water bodies of Siberia within the framework of megagrand, creation of technology for cleaning the bottom of water bodies from oil and others. In addition, this is an opportunity to increase the university awareness in the scientific community”, - Vorobiev is quoted in the message.
According to the press service, at the moment 20 scientific journals of TSU are included in the Scopus database and/or Web of Science Core Collection. The university is the leader among Russian universities in the number of scientific journals included in global indices.
