TOMSK,
Aug 16 – RIA Tomsk. The Chinese investor has chosen a new contractor to
complete the construction of the plant for the production of MDF boards in the
Asino timber processing complex; the Russian company has already received money
from the customer, started work and intends to hand over new enterprise by
January 1, 2020, the vice-governor Andrey Knorr told RIA Tomsk.
Earlier
it was reported that in 2017, Asino timber processing complex (a project of the
Russian-Chinese company "RusKitInvest") in the Tomsk region had a new
investor – the Hubei Timber Industry Company "Fuhan" (China). It was
planned that in the first quarter of 2018, a plant of MDF boards with a
capacity of 200 thousand cubic meters per year will be completed. The launch dates of the
enterprise were repeatedly postponed.
According
to Knorr, with the arrival of the "Fuhan" company in the Asino timber
processing complex there was a change of managers. Currently, the procedure is
almost complete, and a positive trend has already been outlined in the
construction of the MDF-board plant. A month and a half ago, a new contractor
began to complete the work. At the insistence of the regional authorities, it
became a Russian company.
"This
contractor built "Tomlesdrev", "Latat". This is a solid
organization. Chinese experts chose it, made an agreement with them, made the
first payment, and they have been working there for a month and a half. We see
that a lot of progress has gone there. The contractor - is the Russian one, not
Chinese - says that by January 1 (2020) it will completely hand over this plant
to the state commission", – Knorr said, without specifying the name of the
company.
He
explained that the repeated postponement of the completion of construction was
due to the fact that there were more than a dozen contractors: "We were told
that we can’t start it, because one sews buttons, the second sews sleeves, the
third sewn something else, and there was no one to ask. Of course, they would
not have handed over this to the state commission".
According
to the latest official data, Asino timber processing complex is a stable
taxpayer. More than 2 thousand people work at the enterprises of the park, 7%
of which are Chinese specialists, the deputy governor added.
As
previously reported, in the creation of a forestry cluster with the
participation of Chinese partners was previously involved another Chinese investor
– AVIC Foresty (a subsidiary of AVIC Corporation). In 2015 the company launched
a veneer production plant in Asinovsky district, and in 2016 – a sawmill plant.
