TOMSK, Sep 12 - RIA Tomsk. The experts of the Times Higher Education (ТНЕ) international ranking noted the activation of research activities at Tomsk State University (TSU), these results were achieved thanks to the high-quality growth strategy being implemented at the university, the rector Eduard Galazhinsky commented RIA Tomsk on the rating results.
Earlier it was reported that on Thursday, September 12, the British publication Times Higher Education published its annual ranking of the leading universities of the world. TSU retained its position in the ranking by entering the group of 501-600. From Russian universities, this group also includes Kazan Federal University, MISiS and St. Petersburg State University. In the Russian part of the ranking, TSU is on the fifth line.

According to Galazhinsky, TSU is systematically implementing a strategy of qualitative growth in priority areas, among which - are the quality of education and research activities.
“We at the university always understood that ratings - are a long-term game ... In terms of the quality of teaching, TSU again occupies high positions and is among the top 200 strongest universities in the world. Traditionally TSU has shown active growth in research activities, developing sovereign-saving technologies in the Tomsk region scientific-educational center.
He noted that the university also increased its competitiveness due to the emphasis made on the export of educational technologies: "As a result, several large universities of the country are implementing the system of adaptive teaching of mathematics that we have created".
Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE) - is one of the most influential annual world rankings of universities, compiled by the Times Higher Education journal. It takes into account five indicators: quality of teaching; volume and authority of scientific activity and income from it; citation; share of foreign students and teachers and international cooperation; income derived from the practical application of scientific potential.
