TSU to hire 6 graduates of the "Global Education" program

TOMSK, Sep 26 - RIA Tomsk. Six out of 348 graduates of the "Global Education" program operated by Moscow School of Management Skolkovo chose Tomsk State University (TSU) for a three-year mandatory study; thus, TSU entered the top 10 best employers of the program, the press service of the Skolkovo School of Management said on Thursday.

It is specified that 708 people participate in the "Global Education" program. According to its terms, program participants are trained at the leading universities of the world, and then are employed for at least three years in one of the regions of Russia. Currently, 348 program participants have already completed their studies and are choose employers in the Russian Federation for themselves.

“TSU entered the top 10 organizations by the number of employed participants of the "Global Education" program operated by Moscow School of Management Skolkovo. Six of the 348 employed program participants chose TSU for three-year mandatory work in Russia after studying at foreign universities at the state expense", - is said in the report.

Out of the 348 graduates of the "Global Education" program 141 people found jobs in educational institutions, 111 in commercial organizations, 27 in the participating companies of the Skolkovo Foundation, 20 - in medical institutions, 20 - in scientific organizations, 16 - in organization of social sphere and two - in the organization-residents of IT-technology parks, is noted in the report.

TSU was in the seventh place in terms of the number of graduates hired by the program. 13 graduates were employed in Higher School of Economics and SkolTech, 11 - in Kazan, 10 - in Ural Federal Universities, 8 - in ITMO University, 7 - in Tyumen and 6 - in Tomsk State Universities. 5 graduates each received Innopolis University from Tatarstan, Vyatka State University and Sberbank of Russia.

"During the stay of students in foreign universities and after their return, the (program) allows for "home internationalization", provides access to new knowledge, skills, ways of organizing science, educational process and work, as well as other ethics. This is the main advantage of the program that make it extremely valuable", - the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Tomsk State University Artyom Rykun is quoted.
