About 40 unique miniatures, sculptures and calligraphic works on stone
will become showpieces of the exhibition "China in the palm" at the
Tomsk State University (TSU), the representative of the university said
RIA Tomsk on Sunday.
Earlier
it was reported that the XX festival "Days of Confucius Institute" of
TSU started on Saturday, September 28. The main events took place on
Saturday at the Version Theatre.
"Exhibition
of miniatures on stone will be opened in the faculty hall of the
Scientific Library of the university on September, 30 as part of the
festival. Opening time is 12.30. The entrance is free. About 40 are
exhibits. The exhibition will work until October 2", – the interlocutor
of the agency said.
As
the website of the university specified, miniatures, miniscultures and
calligraphy made on stone by famous artists from China are among the
exhibits. For example, these are the works of the master of the
international class Li Fanyue. According to the press service of the
university, he is known for being able to cut several poems of the Tang
era on rice grain.
Also
the works of Yu Qiquan, who perfectly owns the art of modeling from
dough and can sculpt a portrait of a person in 15 minutes, will be
presented at the exhibition. Another author is Li Yunli. It is one of
the leading specialists in fruit bones carving.
The
Confucius Institute of TSU was opened on May 28, 2008 to strengthen
cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the Russian
Federation in the field of education, improve mutual understanding
between the peoples of Russia and China, and support and develop Chinese
language learning.
