TOMSK, Oct 2 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic (TPU) and
Polytechnic University of Milan launched program of professional retraining
"Chemical Engineering" for PJSC "SIBUR Holding"
specialists, chemists-technologists from different cities of Russia solve cases
for enterprises, head of work with youth of SIBUR's Corporate University Julia
Vorotnikova told at program presentation.
According to the press service of TPU, "Chemical
Engineering" is a modular program, in which there will be sections on lean
manufacturing, information technologies and large data in addition to chemical
technology. The program will also include a soft skills module, which will be
carried out by specialists of the Sirius University of Science and Technology
(Sochi), where the final protection of cases will take place at the end of the
program. On Wednesday, TPU hosted a presentation of the program.

"For the first time in TPU we are launching a
program of retraining and advanced training of employees of the main industries
of SIBUR Group of Companies, it is presented in cooperation with Polytechnic
University of Milan, which is one of the key partners in training chemical
engineers abroad... 15 employees from Tobolsk, Perm, Voronezh and Tomsk are the
first listeners of the program" – said Vorotnikova.
She noted that the participants of the program, for
example, will solve cases to reduce energy costs and heat loss in the
production process. "It is important for SIBUR that engineers of the
company enter the market at the level of bachelor's degree with those
competences that go beyond the scope of Russian education in the field of
engineering" – she added.

According to her, the key focus in the program is on
such disciplines as project management, process modeling, business planning and
production optimization.
As the deputy director of the Research School of TPU
Marina Trusova told journalists, one of the main goals of the educational
component of the program is that the specialist, having the corresponding
competence, can feel free in any situation at work.
