TOMSK, Oct 2 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU)
will join the development of the federal platform "Autodata", which
involves digital collection of big data about cars, roads, and weather
conditions and so on; the agreement was written by the rector of the university
Eduard Galazhinsky in Moscow, the press service of TSU reported on Wednesday.
It is specified that the project of the service
telematics platform Autodata is part of the National Technological Initiative
Autonet. As part of the project, an intersectoral project consortium
"AUTODATA.RUS" has been established.
"The signing of the document on the consortium
took place in Moscow. The signing was attended by the Rector of TSU Eduard
Galazhinsky. The "Autodata" project provides creation of functional
models of services on the basis of the platform, including models of the
"Smart Road Network" and the "Smart Road Highway" and
insurance telematics. The volume of financing until the end of the year will
amount to 325 million rubles", – the press service reports.
"Autodata" will consolidate the large data
provided by vehicles, including information on the technical condition and
speed of the vehicle, driving behavior, road profile, weather conditions and
the environment.
"Now such information is being accumulated from
different market participants, including car manufacturers.
"Autodata" will analyze a large amount of data from these and other
sources of information. Thus, in addition to GLONASS and GPS tracking, the
capabilities of the city intelligent transport system, which analyzes the operation
of traffic lights, will be used", – it is explained in the message.
According to Galazhinsky, it is an attempt to
establish a standard of data collection, to synchronize different
"pieces" and make a single information and analytical space.
"It is interesting for TSU to participate in this
project also because we will be able to "try" our competence in
working with big data, and on the other hand – to develop them in a specific
sphere. If it is possible, we have an opportunity to build relations with
partners and employers more deeply, because all the largest players on the market
entered this consortium," – the press service quotes his words.
