TOMSK, Oct 3 – RIA Tomsk. The British Times Higher Education (THE) published an annual ranking of the world's
leading universities in the Arts & Humanities direction; Tomsk State University (TSU) entered the group 201-250, maintaining the previously reached
position, the press service of the university reported on Thursday.
According to the press service, THE British analytical
publication presented the ranking of the world's leading universities in the
direction Arts & Humanities. These are universities that train specialists
in art, languages, history, philosophy, theology, architecture and archaeology.
"TSU confirmed its high positions... As last
year, we joined the group 201-250. The classical university, which has a
140-year history and rich traditions, is strong in the humanities. The high
position in the ranking is the result of the constant work of the team of TSU
and reengineering of the educational process", – the comment of the rector

In support of Galazhinsky's words, the press service
lists successful projects of the university in the field of Arts &
Humanity. In particular, it is the Higher School of Journalism, which received
international accreditation and became the first in the Russian Federation, in
whose assessment experts from China took part. Also the project of linguists of
the university is noted, who solve the tasks of automatic analysis of natural

Earlier it was also reported that TSU retained its
positions in the general ranking of the leading universities of the world
according to THE in 2019, having joined the group 501-600. TSU is located on
the fifth line in the Russian part of the ranking.
