Tomsk. Needs of state corporation "Rosatom"
in young specialists in traditional and new areas of nuclear production will
increase in coming years. Recruitment of graduates of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) by 2024 can amount to 200 people per year. At the same time,

The state corporation "Rosatom" holds the traditional Career
Day in TPU on Thursday, November 14. 26 enterprises of nuclear industry
represent their vacancies and options for practice and internships for future
graduates. In addition, students can take master classes on the topics
"Perfect resume of an applicant", "Emotional intelligence",
"Effective interview", "Why does engineer need an English?"
"I dreamed of working at a nuclear power plant... At the fair you
can learn a lot of useful information about enterprises – it’s better to take a
look, where to get to. I submitted questionnaires to Leningrad and Kursk NPP. I
am expected to practice at the Kursk", – Ilia Kurennoy, third year student
of TPU, studying in the direction "Design and Operation of Nuclear Power
Plants" says.
Not only hr specialists of enterprises are ready to answer the questions
of students here. At some stands you can meet young employees – those who were
a student yesterday, and who knows firsthand the nuances of employment and, for
example, moving to another region.

Requirements of Rosatom grow
According to the head of the Center for Work with Youth of the Corporate
Academy of Rosatom Maria Evdokimova, TPU is traditionally considered a support
university for the industry, so the range of future vacancies for its students
is as wide as possible. In addition to traditional energy and defense
enterprises of the state corporation, units related to promising technologies
are ready to offer job places to future graduates.
"If now we take an average of 70 graduates of Tomsk Polytechnic
University per year, in five years this figure will grow in times and will
amount to 200 people per year... New directions are added to traditional
specialties. For example, Rosatom pays great attention to digital technologies,
new materials and production technologies", – Evdokimova said, noting that
the need for traditional specialists is also growing.
To work abroad
As the Director of the School of Nuclear Science & Engineering of
TPU Oleg Dolmatov noted, the directions "electronics" and
"automation" are in high demand among applicants.
"We always try to respond to the requests of the industry, that
oversees us, and we develop appropriate training programs... We are now closely
involved in the international activities of the state corporation Rosatom – we
train specialists for those countries in which the state corporation builds its
facilities", – Dolmatov said.

Rosatom is one of the global technological leaders who is among the
leading multidisciplinary industrial holdings in Russia and provides vacancies
for specialists and students in more than 100 training areas. In 2013, TPU and
Rosatom concluded a strategic long-term partnership agreement. Every year more
than 150 students of the university undergo practice and about 100 graduates
are employed in enterprises of the state corporation.
