150 beds for students and patients; accommodation will cost 3 thousand rubles
per month, a RIA Tomsk correspondent reports from the scene.
Earlier it was reported that SSMU plans in the coming
years to solve the problem of places shortage in dormitories by moving students
to hotels and dormitories of other universities of Tomsk, as well as helping
them to rent apartments. In October, specialists completed repair works in a
building on Krylova Street, 12, where it was planned to place a hotel for 200
beds for students studying in the university.
"We decided to use this newly acquired building
as a hotel. Why? Since students will not only live here permanently, we can use
it for patients who come from other regions within the framework of the export
of medical services", – the university rector Olga Kobyakova told
reporters at the opening.

"The cost here will depend on the length of stay.
