TOMSK, Jan 10 – RIA Tomsk. Ruskitinvest company implementing an investment project for the construction of a timber industry complex (TIC) in Asino (regional center in the Tomsk region) will launch a plant for MDF boards production in the first quarter of 2020, the deputy governor for agro-industrial policy and environmental management Andrey Knorr said to RIA Tomsk request.
Earlier it was reported that the launch of the MDF board plant at the Asino TIC ("Ruskitinvest") was postponed several times. In 2017, the project had a new investor - Hubei Forestry Company "Fuhan" (China), which intended to complete the plant in 2019. In August, a fire occurred at the enterprise, the fire damaged the equipment of the workshop for the production of MDF boards.
It was also reported that the governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin in October 2019 met with the leadership of the Fuhan company and demanded to speed up the implementation of the investment project: open the MDF plant in 2019 and begin construction of the pellet production plant.
"In order to put into operation the MDF plant, the management of the Asino TIC Park (timber industry complex - Ed.) concluded a general contract with Walter Construction LLC for the construction of the facility. Puting into operation the MDF plant - is the first quarter of 2020", - is said in the Knorr's response.
Earlier it was also reported that the first plant launched in Asino district within the framework of the Russian-Chinese project to create a timber industry complex was a veneer plant in 2015. The following year, a sawmill was launched.
